Personal Support
One of the aims of DEAF Lincs is to support sign language users to access the same services as hearing people. Many deaf people are able to do this through our interpreters. However, there are people who need extra support to understand what services are available and what those services mean and have to offer.
DEAF Lincs Personal Support Workers work with individual deaf people to help them understand what choices are available to them and if necessary, act as advocates in areas such as employment, social services, benefits, in fact any area the deaf person may wish to access.
